Honor Unveils Budget-Friendly Smartphone Honor X5 Plus

has just taken the wraps off its newest addition to the entry-level market, the Honor X5 Plus. While the official pricing remains undisclosed, the device's specifications hint at a cost similar to the Honor X6a, currently retailing at £129.99 in the UK. The Honor X5 Plus comes equipped with a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display, offering a resolution of 1,612 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G36, a 12 nm chipset housing eight ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores and a PowerVR GE8320 . The budget-friendly chipset is complemented by 4 GB of RAM and a robust 5,200 mAh battery, supporting 10 W charging through its USB Type-C port. Furthermore, the smartphone boasts 64 GB of internal storage, expandable via a MicroSD card as needed.

The standout feature of the Honor X5 Plus is its remarkable 50 MP primary camera, accompanied by additional depth of field and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Both the primary and front-facing cameras can capture videos up to 1080p, with the primary camera benefiting from an added portrait mode courtesy of the auxiliary depth of field camera. The smartphone also incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, supporting high-resolution codecs such as Qualcomm aptX HD and Sony LDAC.
